Comprehensive Spring Sports Coverage on The Mtn.
The Mtn. will telecast at least 41 baseball and softball games in 2010, including live coverage of every inning of the Conoco Mountain West Conference Baseball Championship in San Diego, Calif.
BaseballThe Mtn. will air 22 MWC regular season baseball games and 10 live tournament games, with the potential of an 11th should an additional championship game be required on Saturday, May 29. The 2010 Conoco Mountain West Conference Baseball Championship will be held at Tony Gwynn Stadium on the campus of San Diego State. Six MWC teams participate in a double-elimination format, with seeding determined by regular season results from intra-conference games.
The TCU Film/Television/Digital Media Department will produce 13 games. TCU Film/Television/Digital Media Department students will be responsible for all facets of the game production while The Mtn. provides the broadcast platform. This arrangement has been used with great success during the 2009 volleyball and 2009-10 MWC basketball season, with three volleyball matches and six women’s and one men’s basketball game already airing this academic year.
Eight regular season games will be presented live, with the remainder airing same-day tape delay (SDD) and next day tape delay (NDD). As previously mentioned, all Conference tournament games will be televised live.
