The first all-girl band in Indian-controlled Kashmir has disbanded amid threats on social media sites and criticism from a top Muslim cleric. The band performed in public for the first time in December, winning third place in an annual battle of the bands rock show. Soon after the show, Kashmiri pages on social networking sites like Facebook hotly debated the band. The band's manager said the three high school teens are scared and just want the controversy to end.
Real estate mogul Donald Trump is suing talk show host Bill Maher for $5 million. Trump claims that Maher owes that amount to several charities after he proved that his father was not an orangutan. It all stems from an outlandish accusation Maher made, mocking Trump's own challenge to President Obama to provide his birth certificate and prove that he is a U.S. citizen.
Actor Kiefer Sutherland is the latest celebrity to join a long list of actors honored by Hasty Pudding's theatricals. The former '24' star has been named man of the year. Sutherland's awards ceremony and roast will be on Friday. Last week, actress Marion Cotillard won the woman of the year award.
Injured New England Patriot Rob Gronkowski was caught letting loose in Vegas. In a video posted by TMZ and allegedly shot at a nightclub on Sunday night, Gronk is dancing around shirtless, sporting a cast on his arm. Gronkowski also picks another man up and throws him to the ground, hitting his arm in the process. He appears to be okay, but critics think he should be more careful in the offseason. Gronkowski broke his arm twice during the season.
